REAL WORLD PROMO IDEAS

1)      Distribute flyers, etc. at local gigs:

   a.      It is generally a good idea to ask the club first for permission to pass materials out if you are planning on doing it inside. Alternatively, standing outside near the exit handing items out might present the best opportunity for getting to the most people as they leave the show.

2)      Hang posters up in various locations;

    a.       Pubs, Local colleges, Internet café’s
    b.       Wherever you can find places that might catch other music lover’s attention. Put them on post office bulletin boards, in bookstore windows, all   over town. Visit the little stores as well as the big chains.
    c.       Take photos of your display!
    d.       Bring your own stapler and tape. Most stores will want you to put up the flyers yourself.  

Please remember some stores or venues may have rules against handing out materials on their property. There may also be some areas that fans live in where it is against the law to affix stickers/posters to public property such as telephone poles. You may wish to check first to make sure you are allowed to put anything in these areas.
